9. What is the altitude of the noontime Sun at the Equator on this date?

A) 23.5 °

B) 66.5 °

C) 43°

D) 90°

Correct Answer: Option B - 66.5 °

As apparent from the diagram, the altitude of the noontime Sun will be 66.5 ° at the equator on this date caused by the angle of tilt of the Earth being 23.5o.
